My name is Marianna Asti, and I am a book and commercial illustrator based in Luxembourg. Embracing my love for illustration, I aim to connect people across borders through visually clear narratives that inspire, educate, entertain, and soothe both adults and children.
I am devoted to children's book illustration, where I bring warmth and authenticity using classic watercolor techniques. As a freelance illustrator, I work on books for other authors while also developing my own book projects where I take the role of illustrator and author.
I enjoy illustrating both fiction and non-fiction books. My deep interest in literature and experience of being a mother of two wonderful daughters aid me in creating engaging stories for children. My academic background in economic and physical geography equips me with knowledge in non-fiction books.
My journey into the illustration world was not straightforward. Before dedicating myself to illustration, I had a successful career in international trade, holding a director role for over a decade. The extensive commercial and administrative experience along with MBA degree, have become a unique asset – I can bring insider knowledge and humor to my illustration work, transforming complex concepts into relatable and engaging visuals.
Beyond book illustration, I am inspired to apply my skills to commercial illustration. My marketing knowledge ensures that visual solutions effectively meet client needs. My goal is to create visually compelling stories that enhance products and services, such as signature packaging, bespoke stationery, posters, advertising, and calendars.
